July Favorites 2016

beauty & style, entertainment, the extras, Uncategorized

Before you hunt me down and beat me with a stick, let me quickly apologize. I’m sooo sorry for the inactivity! I’m going to be frank here, I haven’t been that busy but I have been pretty damn lazy which is definitely something I’m not too proud of. If it makes you feel any better I’ve refreshed myself on the wonders of Netflix which is essentially the only reason why I haven’t been posting as much as I have been or should be. Well I guess the infamous black hole of Netflix isn’t the only reason why I’m been inactive. I’ve also been drowning under a pile of SAT/ACT work and my camera hasn’t been working so I didn’t see the point in half-assing all my blog posts. If I don’t love it, I don’t expect you guys too! Duhh…

Well, excuses aside, I’m back and I’m better. I finished New Girl so I’ll be posting more often! Hahaha, I’m kidding. But I’m not kidding about being back – new content will be up more, especially during this tragic last month of summer :(. But let’s be optimists and just enjoy it while we can, no? So alas, here are my July 2016 favorites – think: beauty, fashion, music, yada yada yada.

T H E  F A V O R I T E S

Nars Multiple in “South Beach”

I’ve been eyeing this product for a few months now, or it’s been eyeing me in my Sephora cart. But either way, this product has been missing in my life and now that it’s finally filling whatever void I have in my heart, it’s really changing my life. Literally. It makes my makeup routine go by so much faster while bronzing up my face and giving a dewy glow in one swipe and pat on the cheeks. Definitely a multiple, a marvelous one at that.

Laura Mercier Caviar Stick in “Moonlight”

My lack of sleep (due to Netflix) has taken a toll on my eyes, they’ve been looking droopier and duller than ever. Forget sleep, but remember: there are always shortcuts! That being this awesome eyeshadow stick. Seriously, it’s amazing. The color payoff is very pigmented and it’s super long lasting. Plus, it’s in a stick form so just pop it in the inner corners and blend out and you’ll be good to go.

Rimmel Lip Liner in “Tiramisu”

I’ve been really into a nude-y brown lip lately though not so much into the high-maintenance feel of a lipstick. So lately I’ve been lining my lips (NOT OVERLINING) and blending it towards the middle of my lips with my finger to make the look more natural yet 90s ingenue. If you’re not feeling matte, add some lip balm on top to add moisture and shine without sacrificing the color.

Mario Badescu Drying Lotion

In the past I’ve had problems with keeping my damn hands off ma damn face. To be completely honest, acne is the true test of self-control but knowing I can come home to having sexy baby pink dots all over my sleep is something that keeps me grounded. I’m exaggerating, but this stuff truly is the cure-all for pimples. It zaps them away overnight so you can wake up with smooth skin, or if not, a significantly smaller, almost non-existent pimple.

Madewell Ring

I love rings but I get so sick of them halfway through the day because I’m a pretty fidgety person. My mama bought me this and I’m obsessed with it! I’ve been wearing it on my middle finger lately so whenever I feel the need to flip someone off, I’ve got a beautiful finger and ring to do so. I’m JOKING! I don’t flip people off that often, gosh. But it truly is a beautiful and chunky ring in it’s own way. Your homegirl don’t need no diamonds to be happy.

Marina Percoraro Choker

If you know me, you know I have a wild thing for vintage-y, homemade, one-of-a-kind sorta stuff. And this choker is no exception. I bought this from Chelsea Market in New York and I’ve been wearing it basically everyday since. It’s really dainty yet unique and adds a little pizzazz to any jewelry combo. So basically, I’m at three necklaces and counting.

Into You- Ariana Grande

Thief- Ookay

Everyday- A$AP Rocky

Running With the Wolves- Aurora

Drive- Oh Wonder

Famous- Kanye West

Glow- Sould

No Angels- Bastille X SAINT WKND

I’ll be back.
