Beauty Bible

beauty & style, Uncategorized

I’m very active in the beauty world; I’m constantly reading material on the essentials you need, tips and tricks, and just anything beauty-related in general. I gotta say, I’m a beauty guru. A whiz, if you will. Maybe even a maven. Ok, now I’m just listing my SAT words, but seriously, I know my stuff. I know what works and what doesn’t so here are my beauty tips you should practice religiously.

T H E  B I B L E

Have a solid skincare regime.

It’s so important to know what products work for you and what don’t. What products may work for someone may not work for you so you have to know your skin and the way it reacts to certain products. I have a pretty solid routine as I know my skin is combination  and not sensitive.

My skin care routine is consisted of: (Sensitive) Sea Breeze Astringent, Aquaphor, Carmex, Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream & Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Dark Sport Solution, Glossier Mega Greens & Moon Mask, and Bioderma Micellar Water

Have a hair routine.

Similar to skin, you gotta know your hair. For instance, I’ve got thin, straight hair and I personally like to achieve that slightly messy, slightly dirty look so I know what products work for me, and what don’t. I just use two products to mist into my damp hair after I wash it every other day (or two).

My hair care routine consists of: Acure Leave-In Conditioner and Frederick Fekkai Soleil Mist

Take your vitamins, kids!

I just started doing this after reading a long-ass article on vitamin deficiency. If you’re always tired or just feeling gross, you may be lacking in a certain vitamin or nutrient. Although I eat healthy, I find that I lack a lot of iron, my eyes get dry occasionally, and my skin isn’t at its greatest potential. Like anything else, you just have to know your body. Supplements and vitamins are great because you can sort of customize your “collection” to what you need so it’s very personal.

My supplement collection consists of: Fish Oil w/ Vitamin D3, Vitamin E, and Vitamin C w/ Rose Hip.

An assemblage of cosmetics.

Ok, obviously not everyone wears or even likes makeup. But I do. As much as I would like to say I’m minimalistic and simple in terms of beauty (even though I’m obviously not…look at the pictures oh my gosh), I am a makeup freak and hoarder. I love my makeup, sue me. If you love makeup, having a large collection of makeup is going to make your looks more fun and interesting. Clearly, I have a lot so I’m able to play around with what I like and do a different look whenever I feel.

My favorite makeup includes: Glossier Perfecting Skin Tint (Medium), KIKO Gossamer Emotion Lipstick (103 & 104), Marc Jacobs Concealer (Glow)Lancome Hypnose Drama WP Mascara, and Benefit Gimme Brow

Bless beauty. Am I right or am I right?
